At some point in most people’s lives, they could use a helping hand of one degree or another to get back on their feet. At Joy Junction, we understand this need and strive to provide a hand up, not a handout, to the homeless men, women, children, and families of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
We Help the Homeless
At Joy Junction, we offer assistance to anyone who needs it regardless of your sex, sexual orientation, race, color, age, national origin, or religion. Our organization is a Christian outreach ministry dedicated to helping the homeless in Albuquerque regain control over their lives by providing food, shelter, clothing, and safety. In addition to providing for these basic needs, we also provide assistance for each individual’s deeper emotional and spiritual needs. Through our “Christ in Power” program, individuals are taught important life skills that promote self-sufficiency and a decreased dependency on shelters and government funding. Our guests may stay as long as necessary to become “whole” and return to society healthy and productive.
Because we’re a nonprofit, donations-only organization, we receive no city, state, or federal government funding. We rely solely on the kind generosity of citizens and corporations in our city and state. We gladly accept most donations as long as they are in good shape. Your charitable donations are used to help our outreach ministry meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the homeless in Albuquerque, New Mexico. If you are looking to contribute to our charity work, to volunteer your time, or share your gifts/talents/skills, and/or money, please contact us at 505-877-6967.
